Picture Week

May 26-30, 2026 (Baxter) · June 8-13, 2026 (Providence)

Overview

What is Picture Week?

Picture Week takes place during your dancer’s normal class time. All American Imaging will be onsite as our photographer throughout the week.

Picture Week is a fun week to get dressed up in costume and take class group photos, as well as individual photos.

There will not be a makeup day for group pictures, so it is important to be on time for class so no one is left out of the group picture. Dancers without costumes will not be in the group photo (Tumbling is the exception). Dancers will be released to parents after photos are taken, which could be early or a few minutes over. We encourage you to wait in the parking lot or prepare to come back early.

Sibling photos

If you would like sibling pictures taken, please let us know when you check in your dancers.

Parents

Due to space limitations and safety, no parents will be allowed past the check-in area during Picture Week.

How Does It Work?

Check In

Bring your dancer to the designated check-in area (lower lobby at Providence and main lobby at Baxter) already dressed in their first class costume, based on their normal class schedule, not the recital lineup. Hair and makeup should be done before arrival; MSDA is not responsible for hair or makeup.

Changing Costumes

Dancers who have multiple classes on the same day should bring a separate garment bag for each costume, including an empty garment bag for the first class of the day to store the costume they arrive wearing. A designated space will be available for dancers to change between classes.

Ordering Photos

All American Imaging will send an email and/or text message with a link to view and purchase photos on the Monday morning after picture week. This is a great opportunity to purchase a photo for your program book ad, but purchase of photos is not required.
